I just returned from the Young Living Wellness Convention in Utah, and my heart (and notebook!) are full. I spent several days training with industry leaders — including a 25-year veteran yoga instructor who is also a nurse, experts in reflexology and emotional wellness, and specialists in aromatherapy for trauma release.

As a corporate wellness consultant, my mission is to apply what I learn and make it practical for workplaces that want to improve employee well-being, performance, and retention. Here are three powerful lessons your organization can implement today:

1. Movement Is the Key to Mental Clarity

We learned simple yoga-based stretches and breathing techniques designed for people who spend hours at a desk. Short movement breaks throughout the day can increase energy, reduce stress, and improve focus — making them a must for any high-performing team.

2. Aromatherapy Isn’t Just for Relaxation — It Can Support Emotional Well-being

A major theme of the convention was using aromatherapy to release stored emotional trauma. When employees are stuck in cycles of stress or burnout, simple aromatherapy practices can help support them emotionally and approach work with greater clarity and resilience.

3. Reflexology Can Support Whole-Body Wellness

We explored reflexology techniques on the feet that stimulate key points connected to the heart, lungs, and brain. These simple practices can be integrated into wellness sessions or even brief “reset breaks” during the workday to boost overall well-being.
