Do you prefer to chew your vegetables in a salad or drink your vegetables in a smoothie?
Either way is a great option to fuel your body with the nutrients it needs to thrive.
God created the female body intricately. Women are nurturers and tend to care for everything and everyone else before taking care of themselves.
Serving others requires good stewardship of your wellbeing. Smoothies are a natural way for self-care.
You may be tempted to buy premade green smoothies at the grocery store, but many of those are filled with preservatives and unnecessary sugars. You can make them at home and know exactly what is in them.
3 Time-saving Reasons to Drink Green Smoothies
- Quick breakfast, snack, or lunch

What are Green Smoothies?
Green smoothies are usually made with raw leafy green vegetables such as kale, parsley, spinach, swiss chard, or collard greens and are blended with a liquid base such as water, coconut milk, or almond milk. Some recipes include fruit and protein powder.
3 Potential Health Benefits of Green Smoothies
According to Webmd.com green smoothies are a great way to:
- Incorporate leafy greens into your diet – These greens are a rich source of vitamins and minerals and are most nutritious when consumed raw in a smoothie
- Support Digestive health – The insoluble fiber in leafy greens helps food to pass through your digestive system, reducing issues like diarrhea, constipation and bloating. Fibrous foods also help you to feel fuller for longer, which can aid in meeting weight loss goals
- Support Immune Health – Leafy greens are much higher in vitamin C than other vegetables. Vitamin C is known to support the immune system, fight infection, and help maintain healthy cellular function throughout our bodies
