Where You Buy Essential Oils is Important : CHANNETTA WILLIAMS
Sharing is Caring

There are so many options for buying essential oils. You can buy online, at a farmer’s market, health food store, or grocery store.

Not all essential oils are created ethically.

It can be confusing.

3 Tips for Purchasing Essential Oils:

  1. Trust the source – know the company, their farming, distillation, and bottling practices
  2. Read labels – know what is in the bottle, some companies add synthetics and cheap fillers, beware of the word “fragrance”
  3. Consider the cost – it takes a lot of work to extract oils from plants. Think about the rarity of the plant and the labor required to distill the oil. 22 pounds of rose petals produce a small 5ml bottle of rose oil. That is less than 1 teaspoon of rose oil. Lavender is abundant. 200 pounds of lavender will produce 7 pounds of oil. Quality products cost more money but offer more benefits.

I had to learn this by trial and error.

My Essential Oil Story:

I started using essential oils in 2014 for natural sleep support after not sleeping well on a mission trip to Guatemala. After returning home to the USA I did an online search for natural sleep support and Lavender essential oil kept coming up. I used to buy Lavender for $5 a bottle online or at the grocery store. It smelled nice but had no significant effect on my body.

After trying many brands I finally got amazing results with Young Living and I transferred my monthly budget for personal care, home health, and home cleaning products (which I buy from my own Young Living store – many of which I get for free with our Loyalty Rewards) every month and have them delivered to my door instead of buying them at the local store.

I did not have anyone to walk alongside me and equip me in safely using quality essential oils. That is why I am so passionate about helping you with your holistic lifestyle of essential oils.

I trust Young Living. Lavender was the first Young Living essential oil I used (after 3 years of trying many other brands). I remember standing in my dining room after opening the box, screwing the top off the bottle, and instantly smelling REAL lavender. I rubbed a drop on my wrists and felt a calm come over my body. I knew this was a quality product!

Fun fact: By the time you open a fresh bottle of Young Living essential oil, it’s been tested almost 100 times!
