Meet 18-Year-Old Channetta

  • She believed Jesus Christ is the Son of God
  • Had been baptized for the remission of her sins for 2 years
  • Sinned
  • Forgiven
  • Ate fast food several times a week
  • Had digestive issues
  • Loved scented lotion
  • Had respiratory issues (a year before was hospitalized for 3 days due to an asthma attack)
  • Used chemical hair products

Then she learned about a woman she knew who was suffering from a serious health issue, which caused her to examine her own health. The woman’s doctor told her the products she was using on her body (deodorant, laundry soap, hair products) were harmful to her health situation.

Channetta began to read product and food labels to see what she was putting ON and IN her body.

As the years passed with more responsibilities of work, school, and ministry…

  • Her stress levels increased
  • She gained weight
  • Had low energy
  • Had hormone issues
  • Continued to eat foods with little to no nutritional value
  • Exercised very little – she paid for a gym membership but was not committed

It took years for her to make the decision to be a good steward and make her health a priority.

What helped her make the decision?

Reading this verse in the Bible

1 Corinthians 6:19

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

This Bible verse was the start of her commitment to making her health a priority.

Today

By God’s grace, prayer, commitment, and daily consistency she makes healthy habits.

  • She has more focused communion with the Lord
  • More energy
  • Her physical body is getting stronger each day with exercise
  • Her stress levels have decreased
  • Her hormones function better since she stopped using toxic chemicals on her body and started using premium essential oils and non-toxic wellness products
  • She sleeps 7 – 9 quality hours each night
