Who Was She?
A Cushite woman who was the wife of Moses and mother of his two sons
Biblical Background
After Moses became an adult (about 40 years old), he saw an Egyptian beating one of his Hebrew brothers. Moses killed the Egyptian man and hid him in the sand. The next day Moses saw two Hebrew men fighting and asked, “Why are you striking your companion?”. The man said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?”. Moses feared what he had done was known. When Pharoah heard about it, he sought to kill Moses. Moses fled and dwelt in the land of Midian where he met his wife Zipporah.
