Today is Simple Swap

Did you know statistics show that toxic chemicals can negatively affect mood?

Yesterday, we discussed the importance of reading product labels.

What we put ON and IN our body affects our health (hormones, mood, immune, respiratory, and more).

Your living space should be a safe and healthy environment for your household.

God made you the steward of your home. You control what you bring into your home.

I feel much better since I slowly swapped all of the toxins in my household. I did not swap toxins overnight, I did it one product at a time.

Look at the products in the 3 most used cabinets in your household.

  • Bathroom
  • Kitchen
  • Laundry

Daily Beware: Toxic chemicals in household products. Swap them for plant-based products.

These are my favorite non-toxic plant-based products 

“Oil of the day” is Lemon

Lemon supports emotions, the circulatory, digestive, immune systems and is a natural degreaser.

How to use Lemon essential oil in the home.

  • Diffuse to replace toxic candles and plug-ins
  • Carpet and mattress freshener
    • Add 25 drops of lemon essential oil to 1 cup of baking soda in a glass jar with a lid
    • Shake and sprinkle on the carpet or mattress
    • Let it sit for 15 -20 minutes and vacuum
  • Laundry: Swap toxic dryer sheets – add a few drops of lemon to a wool dryer ball or a damp towel and toss in the dryer
  • Kitchen: Add a few drops to the stovetop or countertops to remove grease
  • Bathroom: DIY before you go spray
  • MIND –  Renew your mind daily. Think good thoughts about yourself and others.
  • BODY –  Move your body 30 minutes daily
  • SOUL – Journal how you feel. Acknowledge your emotions. Psalm 43:5
